A WOMAN who set fire to her home and refused to come out was yesterday made the subject of a hospital order under the Mental Health Act.
It follows a blaze at Heol yr Eglwys in Gwersyllt, Wrexham, on August 22, when defendant Leanne Keel, 25, rang the fire service but refused to leave the house as directed.
Neighbours tried to rescue her and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus went in, found her in a bedroom and carried her out.
Keel admitted a charge of arson, being reckless as to whether life would be endangered. She was made the subject of the hospital order on condition that she be detained at the Ty Llewellyn semi-secure psychiatric ...
