IDG Communications is to roll out mobile versions of flagship titles MacWorld and PC Advisor as it looks to grow audiences and revenues.
The publisher sees mobile as a vital step for growing the titles. PC Advisor has the most popular technology magazine site for UK audiences, according to Nielsen Online.
The two sites, developed by mobile marketing agency YOC Group, are set to be available by the end of January. They will feature the main editorial parts of the magazines, with PC Advisor's online video service earmarked for forthcoming mobile video distribution.
