Jan. 12--Last month, Google added sections of Northeast Pennsylvania to a revolutionary tool called Google Street View, an addition to maps that has been in the works since May 2007. Street View, according to Google, allows its users to visually explore and navigate a neighborhood through panoramic street-level photographs. The tool comes complete with 360-degree viewing capabilities, allowing users to navigate intimately through city streets, see businesses and homes, intersections and interstates, and even catch glimpses of passing cars and citizens (though Google automatically blurs licence plates and faces).
