Despite perhaps the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi still wants Barack Obama to raise taxes. She wants the immediate repeal of the Bush tax cuts for higher income Americans. Here is what she told the WaPo (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/08/AR2009010803608.html): "Put me down as clearly as you possibly can as one who wants to have those tax cuts for the wealthiest in America repealed." Duly noted.
