Nearly a year after killing Joel Marino in Marino's South Side home, and a month after being taken off suicide watch, Adam Peterson hung himself with a sheet from his bunk bed in the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, according to the state Department of Corrections.

Peterson, 20, was diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychosis after being arrested in Marino's death.

Peterson attempted suicide on Sept. 25 in the Dane County Jail while awaiting trial but was rescued by a deputy.

After the suicide attempt, Peterson remained on suicide watch until pleading guilty to first-degree intentional ...
