Jan. 14--MUMBAI -- The sessions court on Tuesday refused to allow home food to Kannada film actress Maria Susairaj, instead ordering Byculla prison authorities to provide her with "diet food", comprising mainly of bread and fruit.
Susairaj (27) and her naval officer fiance M.L. Jerome Mathew (25) are accused in the Neeraj Grover murder case.
Susairaj had moved an application seeking permission to have home food, complaining she was not comfortable with the food provided in jail.
In November, she had moved the sessions court for procuring a special brand of shampoo, soap and other toiletries.
