NEIGHBOURHOOD wardens patrolling Coventry city centre are to be scrapped as part of council cuts despite police warning it will increase crime.
Conservative councillors voted yesterday to press ahead with the plan, despite strong objections from Chief Superintendent Steven Glover, who is in charge of the city centre.
