1966: Beaver RV company is founded in Corvallis.
1968: Partners Bob Lee, Ray Mehaffey, Glenn Hancock and John McCabe start Caribou Manufacturing Co. in Junction City. Beaver moves to Bend.
1973: Bob Lee starts Country Camper, forerunner of Country Coach.
1982: Transportation equipment manufacturers, primarily RV makers, employ 920 workers with a total payroll of $17 million in Lane County.
September 1983: Tom Nestell founds Marathon Coach.
1984: Collins Camper is incorporated in Springfield.
