From twin-seater airplanes to waste treatment plants, the Gulf Industry Fair (GIF) had everything, and by end of second day, multi-million-dollar deals were won by companies, defying predictions of the global economic gloom spreading to the Middle East.
The most prominent deal was struck by Slovakia's Biospol Group, which would implement an estimated $90-million project in Bahrain.
The project is a sequel to a co-operation agreement signed by the governments of Slovakia and Bahrain last year.
