Josh Caples was hardly interested in government and politics until the 2008 presidential campaign began in earnest.
Now, the John C. Birdlebough High School senior, from Phoenix in Oswego County, is preparing for a trip to President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration on Tuesday.
"I never really saw myself going to anything like this. I never followed any previous elections or anything," he said. "I'm excited about this, though. It's a historic event and I'll be there for it."
