Article: P2-B golf course hotel complex to rise in Cordova, Cebu.

CEBU CITY, Dec. 29 (PNA) -- A P2-billion golf course and hotel complex will soon be built on Lava Island in Cordova town, according to Cordova Mayor Adelino Sitoy.

Sitoy said the Cordova-Cebu Golf and Resort, Inc. will be built on a 62-hectare lot on Laval Island, 47 hectares of which will be reclaimed.

The project, set to start in January 2009, is a joint project of Filipino and Korean businessmen.

Sitoy said he and Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Rep. Pablo Garcia (Cebu, 2nd district), recently discussed the project with other town and Capitol officials and investors.
