ANAHEIM, Calif., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Angiosonics Inc., a Research Triangle Park, N.C.-based medical device company specializing in therapeutic ultrasound technologies to dissolve blood clots, said today it will begin international sales of its ACOLYSIS(TM) System and Probe this summer. The catheter-based device uses high-frequency sound waves to turn blood clots back to blood, and restore circulation in blocked blood vessels. Such blockages in blood vessels can lead to heart attack, stroke, and limb loss. Initial international sales for the device will focus on patients with blood clots in coronary (heart) vessels.
