ASBURY PARK, N.J.--Mar. 15--PNC Bank Corp. plans to close its branch at 601 Mattison Ave., here, in July as part of an effort to consolidate the business of three New Jersey branches that operate near other branches, a representative of the bank said yesterday.
PNC Bank has another branch at Sunset Avenue and Main Street, here, said Nancy Lear, community relations manager at PNC's New Jersey headquarters in East Brunswick Township. PNC believes customers can be served adequately from the Sunset Avenue branch, she said. For similar reasons, PNC plans to close branches in Sayreville and Kearny in July, Lear said.
