Multi-channel retailers increased their U.S. paid search spend in Q4 08 by 12% compared with Q4 07. In addition, consumers continued to convert online at a steady rate, although they spent 10% less on average per transaction compared with the year prior. The findings come from a report released by SearchIgnite, a leading provider of search and performance media optimization technology managing more than $350 million in paid search annually (see also SearchIgnite).
