A house that used to be a sanatorium conjures up images of grim corridors painted in institutional grey. But there's nothing at all dreary about Nordrach House, Ben and Natalie Paddick's former hospital in Somerset.
The six-bedroom, six-bathroom stone property, set in 6.6 acres near the village of Blagdon, about 15 miles from Bristol, is certainly quirky and on the Gothic side but thanks to a top-notch renovation also feels decadent and luxurious.
