GAITHERSBURG, Md., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin Federal Systems has been selected, as a member of a team led by Nippon Electric Corporation (NEC), Tokyo, Japan, to help design and develop the Japanese government's new global navigation satellite system, the Multifunction Transport Satellite-Based Augmentation System (MSAS). The award has a potential value of approximately $36 million, or about 4 billion yen, to the NEC team.
