The Marine Corps grounded 19 of 51 KC-130F- and R-model transport and tanker aircraft and the Navy grounded 38 of its P-3 Orion patrol planes worldwide because of propeller problems, officials said.
Both of the four-engine planes are fitted with the same Hamilton Standard propeller. The Naval Air Systems Command--which oversees Navy and Marine air- craft--on Friday issued the grounding order for the planes.
