SEATTLE, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- An enzyme that controls the clot-promoting activity of platelets is a molecule known as CD39, which was discovered by scientists at Immunex Corporation (Nasdaq: IMNX). The results of collaborative studies that uncovered the biological role of CD39 were published in the current issue of the Journal of Clinical Investigation by Aaron J. Marcus, M.D., of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Cornell University Medical College in New York.
