Like it or not, Bob Dynes, the chancellor for UCSD, will tell you what he thinks.
Though some label his tendency to speak directly and without any subtlety refreshing, Dynes confesses it is not a practiced trait.
"Some people say I have this refreshing characteristic of saying things very clearly and bluntly, but the fact is I don't know any better."
So far, in the seven months since Dynes' appointment, most folks at UCSD couldn't be any happier.
