Land given for Nano was acquired in 1911: Gujarat Govt
Ahmedabad, Jan 21 (PTI) The state government has filed an affidavit in the Gujarat High Court stating the land given to the Tata Motors Ltd (TML) for the Nano car project was acquired in August 1911 after paying compensation to the owners of the land.
The government has also annexed documents dating back to 100 years to substantiate its claim that the land was acquired in 1911 after giving Rs 1.99 lakh compensation to its owners at that time.
