Mar. 24--A desire to make biscuits like his aunt used to bake led Willie Foster into a new business. After months of experimenting with different recipes, he came up with one about which he said, "If this biscuit was on the market, it would sell."
After first selling biscuits out of a converted insurance office and then a service station, the one-time insurance salesman opened the Biscuit King Cafe in Fairhope last March.
"Willie grew up in Tibbie," Nancy Foster said of her husband's hometown in Washington County. "He said his Aunt Mamie made the best biscuits and asked me why I didn't make biscuits like her."
