With compression built into Windows, why pay for a separate utility?

There are two reasons to use file compression: to save space and organise your files in a better way. One of the key claims made by Winzip 12 is that it can compress Jpeg picture files by a further 20 to 25 per cent. It's unusual for a compression tool to be able to squeeze JPEGs further, as this most common type of picture file used by digital cameras already includes compression.
