JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Physician Sales & Service, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSSI) today announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement with Rad-Tech X-Ray, Inc. ("Rad-Tech") of Jonesboro, Georgia. Rad- Tech distributes radiology and imaging equipment, chemicals and supplies and provides technical service to the acute and alternate site markets through two locations and serves the Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee markets. Rad-Tech reported $31 million in revenues for the twelve month period ended December 31, 1996.
