The biggest may have gotten bigger, but it isn't any easier to get to.
Stuck in the park south of the museum campus more as a result of history and politics than of planning - and denied accessibility via a downtown circulator train that now shows no sign of ever being built - Chicago's McCormick Place is far removed from the normal ebb and flow of Loop hotels, attractions and public transit, and a haul from O'Hare International and Midway airports.
McCormick Place executives are acutely aware of the logistical problems posed by their relative isolation and are taking steps to improve the situation.
