TN, Karna, Andhra sign loan agreements with World Bank
New Delhi, Jan 22 (PTI) In a bid to increase their irrigation potential, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh have signed loan agreements with the World Bank for restoration of water bodies in the respective states.
The loan agreements are part of government's effort to expand the Repair, Renovation and Restoration (RRR) scheme of water bodies throughout the country with external assistance, official sources said.
While Tamil Nadu has signed a Rs 2,182-crore loan agreement for restoration of 5,763 water bodies, Andhra Pradesh has signed a Rs 835-crore agreement for restoration of 3,000 ...
