IT'S something footballers can only dream about.
But, when the weather is cold, you can't beat popping down to a park to watch the local wildlife successfully trying to walk on water.
Cannon Hill Park's frozen lakes were a joy to behold recently, even on a dull day when it seemed as if the light was desperately poor.
The seagulls were out in force, looking like members of International Rescue as they swooped around a pool with a red lifebelt stuck in the middle of the ice.
Below them, ducks, geese and more seagulls were fighting over scraps of bread being thrown by families.
