TEMPLE, Texas, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Scott and White officials announced yesterday during a news conference that they have established a major Organ Transplant Center at Scott and White in Temple.
"We've been talking about starting a transplant program here for four or five years," said Dr. John L. Montgomery, President of Scott and White Clinic. A little over a year ago we were able to recruit and get a commitment from Dr. Gregory J. Jaffers, an outstanding and very experienced transplant surgeon. Dr. Jaffers started with us a few months ago and has already successfully completed four kidney transplants.
