A web design business based in Silsden, West Yorkshire, has got off to a flying start in 2009 after securing a number of contracts.

E-commerce specialist Projeto was founded five years ago by award-winning director Paula Baker-Parkin. It is about to complete its 500th project, a garden nursery site.

Ms Baker-Parkin said: "Projeto has experienced a rush of new business in January, peaking with record orders of more than [pounds sterling]5,000 taken in a week.
