PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 1997--Interstate Hotels Company (NYSE: IHC), today announced that it has signed a letter of intent to develop a 350-room luxury independent, full-service hotel on City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. It will be a joint venture with Carpenter and Company, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based real estate development group. The joint venture has been approved as the developer by the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
Since the project is in the preliminary development stage, there can be no assurance that it will be completed.
