THE chef who lost his coveted Michelin star has vowed to win it back.
Chris Chown, owner of Plas Bodegroes in Pwllheli, had his restaurant stripped of the accolade last week - the only place in North Wales to have one.
Now Mr Chown has challenged the next generation of Welsh chefs to step up and show off the country's culinary excellence.
Over the last year he has passed on the running of his kitchen to understudy Aled Williams, and now he is backing him to win a Michelin star in his own right.
