Apr. 1--City and state officials agree on the need for a new Boston convention center and its related economic benefits, but as a long-awaited report makes clear, they have not yet found a way to finance the proposed $695 million facility.
The 90-page report, released yesterday, sidesteps the politically divisive question of how much Boston should contribute toward the project, for example, and instead offers a menu of financing options.
