PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April, 2, 1997--Interstate Hotels Company (NYSE:IHC) today announced that it will build a Residence Inn by Marriott in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Interstate Hotels, which will own the hotel, has a franchise agreement with Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR). The project is slated to begin construction later this month with a targeted opening of January 1998. The Hotel will be located directly across the street from the Interstate-managed Pittsburgh Airport Marriott.
