Trevor Hassall and John Joyce of Sheffield Hallam University offer some advice for students on how to tackle case study based questions
Case studies are a way of testing the application of knowledge and skills in a meaningful and relevant situation. Consequently they are being introduced into the professional accounting bodies' examinations, where they tend to be used more in the later stages, where students are expected to relate the underpinning knowledge and skills that they gained from their earlier studies to a realistic situation.
