VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Air Force today launched the latest Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) satellite aboard a Lockheed Martin Titan II space launch vehicle (SLV).
Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, Sunnyvale, CA, built the satellite, and Denver-based Lockheed Martin Astronautics provided the booster, both under contract to the U.S. Air Force.
