Pennsylvania Health Department Updates Information on Frozen Strawberries

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Three lot numbers of frozen strawberries implicated with a hepatitis A outbreak in Michigan were shipped to an Agway supplier in New York state, but there is no information that these three lot numbers have been distributed to Pennsylvania retailers, Dr. Andre Weltman, an epidemiologist with the Pennsylvania state Health Department, said today.

State Health officials also report that to date there are no reports of hepatitis A or other illness in Pennsylvania linked to the consumption of the berries.
