SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1997--McAfee (NASDAQ: MCAF), the world's leading vendor of anti-virus software, today announced that researchers at its Anti-Virus Emergency Response Team (AVERT) have discovered a "cheat" mode in Dr. Solomon's (Nasdaq: SOLLY) Anti-Virus Toolkit. The discovery of the cheat mode casts doubt over the accuracy of Dr. Solomon's detection rates and scanning speeds.
