The Art Directors Guild likes the look of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Changeling," "Doubt," "Frost/Nixon" and "Milk." Those five pics landed noms in the period film category for the guild's 2008 Excellence in Production Design Awards.
Nommed in the fantasy film grouping are "The Dark Knight" "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" "Iron Man," "The Spiderwick Chronicles" and "Wall-E."
"Burn After Reading," "Gran Torino," "Quantum of Solace," "Slumdog Millionaire" and "The Wrestler" received mentions for contemporary film.
