Article: NYPA: Con Edison Plan Needs Changes

NEW YORK, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has told the state Public Service Commission (PSC) that a proposed agreement between the PSC staff and Con Edison should be changed to meet the commission's vision of lower electricity costs and more jobs in New York State.

In a submission to the PSC on Wednesday, the Power Authority said the proposed agreement "would result in increased -- not reduced -- prices for NYPA's governmental and economic development customers, and it would severely limit the use of NYPA's lower-priced power to promote economic development in the Con Edison franchise area."
