S AN CAVANAGH believes those who hailed him as the best footballer in the country last year got it wrong.
Apart from picking up a third All-Ireland medal with Tyrone in the autumn, Cavanagh hoovered up every individual award that mattered, having been named as the All-Star, GPA and Texaco footballer of the year. However, he believes those awards should have gone to the team's midfielder Enda McGinley.
