WASHINGTON-As a result of aggressive marketing campaigns that put homeowners and the financial institutions making reverse loans at risk, the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors have released a comprehensive set of examination guidelines for reviewing the business practices and operations of lenders and brokers selling reverse mortgage loans to seniors.
