AUGUSTA, Ga. _ Paul Stankowski was discussing what it felt like to be eight strokes behind Tiger Woods heading into Sunday's the final round of the 61st Masters when a television monitor showed Woods sink a two-foot birdie putt on the 15th hole.
``Is he 14 (under) now?'' Stankowski asked in disbelief. ``That's encouraging.''
It didn't get any better.
Woods made a tap-in birdie on No. 18 to finish with a 7-under par 65 and a record nine-stroke lead after 54 holes.
At 15 under par, he can break Jack Nicklaus' 1965 tournament-record 17-under par total with a 69 and become the event's youngest winner at 21.
