Barrington Stage announces 2009 season

Tennessee Williams' landmark play "A Streetcar Named Desire" is one of a handful of award-winning shows that will take the stage during the Barrington Stage Company's 15th anniversary summer season.

Opening on the main stage is Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical "Carousel," from June 17-July 11. The company, in Pittsfield, Mass., will also present its first thriller, the Tony award-winning play "Sleuth," by Anthony Shaffer, from July 16-Aug. 1. "A Streetcar Named Desire" concludes the main-stage season from Aug. 6-29.
