TOKYO, Feb 3 Asia Pulse - The Japanese arm of U.S. supercomputer giant Cray Inc. has inked its first sales agent agreement in Japan as part of efforts to strengthen sales of supercomputers to manufacturers and other companies.

Until now, Cray Japan Inc. has sold its products directly to customers, but it recently signed Sumisho Computer Systems Corp. (TSE:9719) as a sales agent to help sell the new Cray CX1 compact supercomputer, which begins shipping in Japan on Tuesday.
