Feb. 3--Anthony Martino, the main character in "Some Men Need Killing," learned the ways of violence and Italian criminals early in life.

The author, Art Marsicano, Pottsville, draws on a childhood in Hazleton as first-hand experience into what makes the character tick. In his second book, Marsicano gets into the psyche of the Italian-American criminal, and examines the workings of the Mafia and those affected by the premise that justice can only be found with a gun, knife or bomb.
