Clifford Chance is the latest City firm to be the subject of a professional negligence claim, with Jersey property company Al Salam UK Properties Investment taking action against the firm.
The company claims that Clifford Chance repeatedly ignored its instructions on the purchase of two Mayfair properties it intended to develop.
The claimant's firm Nasir & Co has outlined a series of allegations against Clifford Chance partner Michael Edwards and a former trainee.
According to a Nasir & Co spokeswoman, the allegations are that Clifford Chance was "negligent in a number of respects in handling the purchase of two properties for development".
