The Styrian firm Andritz Hydro has announced it won a 55 million Euro contract in Turkey from Limak Energy.
Andritz Hydro, which used to be called Andritz VA Tech Hydro, said: "The contract once again demonstrates our market-leading position in Turkey."
The contract is for delivery of a complete electric-mechanical system for the Alkumru hydroelectric plant in southeastern Anatolia. It is scheduled to enter into operation in early 2011, when it will be able to generate 900 GWh of electricity annually.
