Bow Section of Disney Magic Travels 100 Miles to Meet Stern Section

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, in a historic first for the cruise industry, the front half or bow section of the Disney Cruise Line's first ship, the Disney Magic, was launched and tugged nearly 100 miles up the east coast of Italy to be joined with its rear half or stern outside of Venice. Representing eight months of intense construction by Trieste-based Fincantieri Shipyards, this process signaled the introduction of an innovative new approach to shipbuilding.
