In a four-player deal called an "earthshaking trade" by sports experts, Atlanta Braves' outfielders David Justice and Marquis Grissom were traded to the Cleveland Indians for center-fielder Kenny Lofton and relief pitcher Alan Embree.
In the trade, one of the biggest in the last decade, the Indians gained marquee talent which could make Cleveland a favorite in the central division. Justice, who has hit 20 or more home runs five times in his eight seasons in the majors, will take over for Albert Belle, who left Cleveland and signed with the Chicago White Sox for $55 million over five years.
