In a four-player deal called an "earthshaking trade" by sports experts, Atlanta Braves' outfielders David Justice and Marquis Grissom were traded to the Cleveland Indians for center-fielder Kenny Lofton and relief pitcher Alan Embree.

In the trade, one of the biggest in the last decade, the Indians gained marquee talent which could make Cleveland a favorite in the central division.
