In this study we estimate cost changes associated with implementing a "translating research into practice" (TRIP) behavioral intervention designed to increase the use of evidence-based acute pain management practices for hospitalized older patients with hip fractures. This paper is a companion analysis to an assessment of the effects of the TRIP intervention on the use of acute pain management practices (Titler et al. 2008).
