THE Dublin shares market rose in line with bourses across the world yesterday with Irish Life and Permanent shares lifted by news of a bond issue.
Shares in Irish Life and Permanent led the rise with the stocks gaining 18c to E1.90 after it placed a bond issue on the global market to raise E1bn.
Shares across Europe and in the U.S. rose as the latest depressing jobless figures from the U.S. upped the chances that President Obama's $900bn stimulus package will pass in to law, and, hopefully, give a welcome jolt to the global economy.
